This piece is a stand alone. Belle Pièce are unique, standalone creations crafted by the most veteran and skillful artisans at Laguiole en Aubrac. Each one is a singular work where tradition meets innovation — a timeless piece of functional art.

Every curve and line is shaped with meticulous attention to detail, producing true gems of craftsmanship. Handle materials are hand-selected for their natural beauty and durability, ensuring each knife is both a working tool and an heirloom destined to be passed down for generations.

The Bee

This bee pairs two different textures across its wings: one panel filled with a fine honeycomb stipple, the other left smooth with curved ribbing, capped by a small waffle-textured tip at the very crown. The asymmetry between the two wing treatments gives it a restless, hand-worked quality — no single repeating pattern, just contrasting textures set side by side.

A Line Cut by Hand

The spine carries a hand-engraved leaf-scroll pattern in silver, flanked on both sides by thin brass pinstripes running its full length — a warmer, more jewelry-like accent than the black borders seen on other pieces in the collection.

A Handle Like No Other

This piece is fitted with an Ebony handle, deep black and densely grained, scattered with small brass pins of varying size across its surface. Rather than a uniform row or a single accent point, the pins sit loosely across the wood like a scattered constellation — an understated detail that only reveals itself on close look.
