What the limited lifetime warranty covers

Laguiole en Aubrac knives, champagne sabers and sommelier corkscrews bought from Laguiole en Aubrac Shop carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and construction. They are guaranteed to perform as advertised when they are properly used and maintained.

The warranty is limited: it covers how the piece was made, not wear, accidents or lack of care. The conditions below explain what that means.

Who is covered

• Only products purchased from Laguiole en Aubrac Shop. Products bought anywhere else must be warranted by the original place of purchase.

What is not covered

• Dishwasher damage. Laguiole en Aubrac products are not dishwasher safe, except Corian products. Putting any other product in a dishwasher voids the warranty.
• Stains, rust spots or water spots on a blade, unless reported on first use. They are not related to how the knife was made.
• Dents or bends in a blade that are not reported within 30 days of receiving the order.
• Broken wood handles or chipped bone, unless reported on first use.
• Problems with the spring after more than one year. Put a drop of oil on the spring every three months to protect it.
• A corkscrew that becomes loose after more than one year. Put a drop of oil on its joints every three months to protect it.

Returns and exchanges

• Used items can only be returned if they are defective.
• Coupons do not apply to exchanges. Exchanges are made at the price published on our website.

How to make a claim
