Laguiole en Aubrac® champagne sabers with solid horn, sheep horn, buffalo horn and zebu bone handles. Each saber is handcrafted in Espalion, in the Aubrac region of France, with a 10.6-inch (265 mm) 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel blade that is deliberately left unsharpened, because sabrage relies on striking the bottle's lip, not cutting.

Is the saber blade sharp?

No, and on purpose. The 10.6 in (265 mm) 12C27 stainless blade is left unsharpened, because sabrage works by striking the lip of the bottle with the back of the blade, not by cutting.

Where are the sabers made?

They are handcrafted by Laguiole en Aubrac in the Aubrac region of France. What changes from one saber to another is the handle.

Can I return an item?

Yes. Unused items in new condition and in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days. Email info@laguioleenaubracshop.com for a return authorization number first. Details are in our return policy.
