This piece is a stand alone. Belle Pièce are unique, standalone creations crafted by the most veteran and skillful artisans at Laguiole en Aubrac. Each one is a singular work where tradition meets innovation — a timeless piece of functional art.

Every curve and line is shaped with meticulous attention to detail, producing true gems of craftsmanship. Handle materials are hand-selected for their natural beauty and durability, ensuring each knife is both a working tool and an heirloom destined to be passed down for generations.

The Bee

This bee carries a bold Art Deco sunburst treatment: sharp triangular facets radiate outward in perfect symmetry from a central point, finely ribbed, capped by pointed tips at the crown. Rendered here in polished silver against Albizia's warm burl figuring rather than forged carbon's marbled surface, the same architectural geometry reads completely differently — less industrial, more jewelry set into wood.

A Line Cut by Hand

The spine carries a chain of elongated diamonds linked by ladder-rung segments, bordered on both edges by a fine wavy scalloped line — a different geometric language from the straight chevron chain seen on the bee's other appearance in the collection, though it shares the same hard-edged, architectural spirit.

A Handle Like No Other

This piece is fitted with an Albizia burl handle, richly figured in warm brown tones with darker knots and grain movement running throughout. A polished steel cap finishes the tail — a more traditional bolster touch than the full, uninterrupted wood handle seen on the collection's other Albizia piece.
