This piece is a stand alone. Belle Pièce are unique, standalone creations crafted by the most veteran and skillful artisans at Laguiole en Aubrac. Each one is a singular work where tradition meets innovation — a timeless piece of functional art.

Every curve and line is shaped with meticulous attention to detail, producing true gems of craftsmanship. Handle materials are hand-selected for their natural beauty and durability, ensuring each knife is both a working tool and an heirloom destined to be passed down for generations.

The Bee

This bee carries the same Art Deco sunburst geometry as elsewhere in the collection — radiating triangular facets, finely ribbed — but with one departure: rather than ending in sharp, pointed tips, the crown here is finished in a cluster of small, round beaded dots, giving the top of the bee a softer, pebbled texture against its otherwise hard- edged geometry below.

A Line Cut by Hand

The spine carries a straight steel inlay bordered by a fine wavy scallop, set against a dark recessed channel — the same restrained, linear treatment as other pieces in this style, letting the wood's own grain carry more of the visual weight.

A Handle Like No Other

This piece is fitted with an Olivewood handle, its warm honey-tan surface threaded with fine, dark linear veining rather than the burl eyes or knots seen elsewhere in the collection — olive wood's own signature figure. A row of pins runs diagonally down the handle, growing steadily larger toward the bolster, like a comet's tail rather than the loose, scattered constellation pattern used on the Ebony pieces.
