Belle Pièce — Unique, Standalone Creation

This piece is a stand alone. Belle Pièce are unique, standalone creations crafted by the most veteran and skillful artisans at Laguiole en Aubrac. Each one is a singular work where tradition meets innovation — a timeless piece of functional art.

Every curve and line is shaped with meticulous attention to detail, producing true gems of craftsmanship. Handle materials are hand-selected for their natural beauty and durability, ensuring each knife is both a working tool and an heirloom destined to be passed down for generations.

The Bee

A crisp Art Deco design: a stepped, ladder-rung spine runs down the center of the head, flanked by two elongated hexagonal facets, mounted directly onto the wood at the pivot with no bolster cap. Clean and architectural rather than sculptural.

A Line Cut by Hand

The spine carries a continuous chain of kite-shaped diamond facets, each one outlined in black and linked point-to-point down the full length — a proper diamond-chain motif, picking up the same geometric language as the bee.

A Handle Like No Other

The Amboyna burl is densely figured, with tight, swirling dark-brown burl eyes moving through a warmer honey-tan ground, giving the handle a marbled, almost flame-like movement that's noticeably busier and richer than any burl from the Belle Piece Series.
