Every curve and line is shaped with meticulous attention to detail, producing true gems of craftsmanship. Handle materials are hand-selected for their natural beauty and durability, ensuring each knife is both a working tool and an heirloom destined to be passed down for generations.

The Bee

 

A Line Cut by Hand 

The spine carries a continuous, flowing leaf-and-flame scroll, pierced clean through the steel strip rather than just cut into a recessed channel — you can see the burl grain through the open sections between the raised leaf shapes. Both edges of the piercing are finished with a fine zigzag/saw-tooth detailing, which gives the whole line a sharper, more ornamental edge than a plain scalloped or scroll-cut spine.

A Handle Like No Other

The handle is Albizia burl, warm honey-brown with small dark burl eyes scattered through the grain. The pin work here is looser and more irregular than the diagonal "comet-tail" row you've had on other pieces — a light scatter of silver pins with a single brass pin breaking up the line, rather than a graduated trail.

Construction

  • Handle crafted from Albizia Burl, richly figured in warm brown tones with darker knots and grain movement
  • Bee: elongated, tightly ribbed body set into a beaded octagonal frame, paired with a smooth, mirror-polished crescent wing and capped by a rough, hammered pointed crown
  • Guilloché pattern hand-pierced along the spine in a continuous leaf-and-flame scroll, both edges finished with a fine zigzag detailing
  • Weight: 62.1 gr (2.19 oz)
  • Made in Espalion, France, within the historic Laguiole region
