Belle Pièce — Unique, Standalone Creation

This piece is a stand alone. Belle Pièce are unique, standalone creations crafted by the most veteran and skillful artisans at Laguiole en Aubrac. Each one is a singular work where tradition meets innovation — a timeless piece of functional art. Every curve and line is shaped with meticulous attention to detail, producing true gems of craftsmanship. Handle materials are hand-selected for their natural beauty and durability, ensuring each knife is both a working tool and an heirloom destined to be passed down for generations.

A Line Cut by Hand

The spine carries a chain of triangular facets in polished silver, bordered on both edges by a fine blue spacer line rather than the black or plain steel seen on other pieces. At intervals, the blue crosses perpendicular to the spine in short bands, breaking the engraved chain into segments and giving the line a flag-like, structured rhythm as it runs the handle's length.

The Bee

This bee carries Art Deco sunburst treatment: radiating triangular facets fan outward from a central point, finely ribbed, capped by pointed tips at the crown. Set directly at the pivot with no bolster cap beneath it, the geometry reads as though it grew straight out of the wood.

A Handle Like No Other

This piece is fitted with a Poplar Burl handle in a deep wine tone, its grain figured with warm reddish-brown movement throughout. A single blue-and-silver spacer ring divides the handle roughly at its midpoint. True to its build, this is a noticeably chunkier piece than others in the collection — wider through the grip, with real heft and presence in hand.
