Experience the exceptional craftsmanship of the Laguiole en Aubrac Double-Plated Folding Knife, a masterpiece handmade in France by skilled artisans. Celebrated for its refined elegance, structural strength, and meticulous hand-finishing, this luxury pocket knife represents the finest traditions of French cutlery.

The term double-plated refers to the knife’s distinctive construction, where two plates reinforce the spring. This design not only enhances durability but also provides an unmistakable aesthetic. Each pair of plates is individually hand-carved by master cutlers, transforming every knife into a unique work of functional art.

The Feather Series

The Feather Series is a collection of four double-plated knives, each crowned with its own uniquely designed fly, so no two models in the series share the same one. On this knife, a procession of feathers runs the length of the spring, each finely engraved with delicate barbs and set against a darkened ground. Hand-filed stainless steel plates frame the design, and two fine brass lines run along the spine from bolster to bolster, adding a subtle thread of gold to the brushed steel.

Bee #15 is hand-carved and forged as one piece with the spring. Its wings are shaped like two leaves, each engraved with crisp, herringbone veins, while its head is finished in a fine checkered pattern, a miniature sculpture set at the top of the bolster.

Walnut: Warmth and Movement

Walnut has long been a favorite of French cutlers, prized for its strength, its fine texture, and the warm, natural beauty of its grain. This handle shows rich honey and caramel tones layered with darker chocolate-brown streaks. On one face, the grain sweeps in bold, rippling arcs that seem to flow around the traditional shepherd’s cross; on the other, it runs in long, calm lines toward the bolster. Because every piece of walnut is different, no two handles are ever alike.

Paired with brushed stainless steel bolsters, stainless steel pins, and the fine brass lines of the spine, the walnut creates a warm, understated harmony of wood, steel, and gold. Each scale is hand-selected, shaped, and fitted at the Laguiole en Aubrac workshop.

Whether carried as an everyday companion, displayed in a collection, or presented as a meaningful gift, this Laguiole en Aubrac folding knife embodies generations of French craftsmanship and timeless design.
