Le Coupé — Porsche 911 Special Edition, No. 1539
A Laguiole "Coupé" folding knife born from an unlikely pairing: French blade smithing and the curves of an automotive icon.
This piece belongs to a numbered, limited series, its spring forged from steel sourced from an actual Porsche 911 Coupé, released in 1963.
The Bee, Forged in One Motion
The spring and bee are forged from a single piece of steel, left with a smooth, uninterrupted back rather than an ornamental spine — a deliberate echo of the 911's own unbroken roofline, running clean from cabin to rear.
A Handle Touched by Feathered Grain Full buffalo horn handle, hand-selected for this piece. Rather than the deep, uniform black most buffalo horn pieces carry, this handle shows pale, feather-like streaking threaded through the black — a natural variation that makes no two handles alike.
The Golden Eye Set into the handle, a round silver pastille with a gold-toned center stands in for the 911's iconic round headlamp — a small, quiet detail linking the knife back to the car that inspired it.
Numbered & Limited Hand-stamped on the blade spine, marking this knife's place in a limited, numbered series
